What's New on Renault Kiger?

Introduction

  • Renault launched the facelifted version of the Kiger in India in August 2025.
  • The compact SUV is available in four variants, namely Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion, with prices starting at Rs. 6.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • The updated model carries forward the 1.0-litre NA and turbo petrol engine options, with a choice of manual, AMT, and CVT transmissions.

Exterior

  • The 2025 Renault Kiger is offered in seven colours such as the new signature Oasis Yellow, then the Radiant Red, Stealth Black, Ice Cool White, Shadow Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Caspian Blue.
  • A heavily revised exterior, updated interior, and new features make for the 2025 Kiger. This facelifted version also has a redesigned front fascia.
  • There's a split headlamp setup that includes slim LED DRLs and tri-projector headlamps in line with the new design language.
  • Then, the new bumper gets a silver octagonal insert flanked by separate fog lamps.
  • However, the silhouette of the new Kiger is the same as the outgoing Kiger.
  • The facelifted model also gets the same C-shaped tail lamps, but rides on new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Interior

  • The new Kiger boasts a digital instrument cluster behind a three-spoke steering wheel.
  • A two-tone dashboard with a similar theme for the interior is followed inside.
  • There's now a new free-standing eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre.
  • This system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
  • The compact SUV also gets features like ventilated front seats and rear AC vents.
  • There are three driving modes such as Eco, Normal, and Sport that can be changed through a rotary dial.
  • Safety-wise, it gets a multi-view camera, ESP, traction control, Hill Start Assist, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and six airbags.

Powertrain

  • Renault hasn't made any changes to the powertrain and the facelift comes with the same engine options as before.
  • There's a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72bhp and 96Nm torque.
  • This NA mill comes mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.
  • The other engine option is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that churns 99bhp and 152Nm (five-speed MT)/160Nm(CVT).
