The BYD (Build Your Dream) Seal Electric Sedan entered the Indian Automobile market last month. It is the Chinese brand’s third battery powered passenger vehicle after e6 and Alto 3 sales in the Indian market.
Talking About Its Exterior
The electric sedan has a sweeping and an aerodynamic design having an amazing aero drag co-efficient of 0.219Cd. If we go by the dimmensions, the BYD Seal EV mesures 4,800 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and1460 mm in height. The wheelbase stands to be 2920 mm of the battery powered sedan. It has a coupe like profile because of the swooping roofline. The sporty appeals come from the side skirts and lowered stances. There are four exterior paint scheme – cosmos black, aurora white, atlantis grey, and artic blue.

The Seal EV has a unique dashboard with multiple creases and curves. A 15.6 inch rotable touch screen takes up the center stage along with the 10.25 inche digital driver’s instrument cluster. The multi-functional steering wheel with the BYD logo is the prominent highlight. It also has 400 liters boot space abd 53 liters cargo volume for the frunk.
The BYD Seal EV has a all glass roof, heated front seat, and advanced driver assistance like Forward Collision Warning Automatic Emergency Breaking, Rear Collission Warning etc.
As per the BYD’s e-platform 3.0, the sedan EV has an 82kWh battery with a range of 570 km WLTP. The car goes from 0-100 KMPH in 3,8 seconds and have a top speed of 180 KMPH. Having a charging potential of 150 KW DC, the charge goes from 30% to 80% in 26 minutes.
