Tomorrow, Mahindra’s two new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, are poised to captivate car fans. All of this will keep you interested.
The electric car division of Mahindra is working on an intriguing project. The carmaker has announced that two new electric SUVs will go on sale in the nation tomorrow. With its main vehicles, the 9e and 6e, respectively, Mahindra Electric says it is introducing two new sub-brands to the Indian market: XEV and BE. With their svelte styling and technologically advanced interiors, the XEV 9e and BE 6e seek to accelerate the nation’s adoption of electric vehicles. Mahindra has really created a brand-new born-electric platform known as the INGLO Architecture. What makes these SUVs exciting?
Now, let’s discuss:
Mahindra INGLO Architecture: Battery & Range
Two battery options—59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs—can be provided via this platform. According to the Indian automaker, it will be able to provide the highest range and efficiency in its class. Its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery will increase its durability and safety factor. Up to 175 kW of DC rapid charging is supported by the platform, cutting the 20–80% time down to just 20 minutes. With all of this, the car will be able to generate 170-210 kW (231-286 horsepower). It’s likely that the EVs will come with a rear-wheel drive system at first, but the brand may eventually start selling all-wheel drive.
Mahindra XEV 9e
Exterior Design
The XUV 700’s electrified coupe design served as the inspiration for the Mahindra XEV 9e. It has a noticeable triangle headlamp arrangement with linking DRLs that span the vehicle’s width. The car’s character lines give it a somewhat muscular appearance, and the LED emblem adds a futuristic touch. Aerodynamically better wheels are another feature that the XEV 9e shares with the 6e.
Cabin & Features
The XEV 9e will be upgraded with a triple-screen dashboard that is entirely new. Three 12.3-inch panels running the Adrenox software from the brand are probably going to be included. In addition, the electric SIV will include a center console that may be modeled after the XUV700’s and a two-spoke wheel with an illuminated emblem. It will have every feature of the XUV 700 plus a few more, according to the equipment list.
Mahindra BE 6e
Exterior Design
With its crisp lines and very large wheel arches, the BE 6e’s design exudes modernity while projecting an aggressive image. Furthermore, the car’s headlights are angled, and the J-shaped DRLs complete the look. The brand incorporated a hood scoop to make it stand out, which may have been crucial to the design’s aerodynamics. Additionally, the car’s hood is adorned with an illuminated BE emblem. Wheels with improved aerodynamics complete this design.
Cabin & Features
The BE 6e will have a twin-screen configuration with a floating wraparound arrangement of 12.3-inch panels, according to the teaser photos and spy shots that were previously made public. A two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated emblem adds a contemporary touch to the brand’s driver-centric atmosphere. To increase its appeal, a huge glass roof will also be added. ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and other features will be included in the SUV.
