With the joint venture of MG’s legendary credentials and JSW’s local manufacturing expertise, a new era of MG Motor is all ready to blaze the electric market of India. Keeping this in mind, MG’s Halol plants in Gujarat will increase its annual capacity from 1 lakh to 3 lakh. Sajjan Jindal is all set to bring one vehicle every three to four months of this partnership, in the market from September 2024.
As MG Motor is planning to expand its portfolio in India, its partnership with JSW will open up multiple opportunities and resources. Among them is the MG Cyberster Electric Sports Car which was displayed at the company’s event in Mumbai.
Stunning Profile – MG Cyberster
Style and elegance have been synonyms with the sports car and MG has a rich sporting linage from 1924. With sleek design, aerodynamic front fascia, sweptback headlamp, and chiseled bonnet has reflected the same.
The admirable side profile will take your breath away. Sporty petal shaped alloy wheels, side skirts, scissor doors, fabric soft top, and smooth body paneling makes MG stand different.
The rear profile is no less. Full width rectangular light bar, arrow shaped tail light and muscular split diffuser is no less. Your luxurious experience will not end with soft touch material all across the leather wrapped components.
The cockpit of MG Cyberster will give you a modern gaming aesthetic vibe. Here are some key highlight you must not miss:

MG Cyberster-Specification
Being the first electric sports car, MG focused on giving a thrilling experience. The concept was first showcased in 2021 and later unveiled is 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed. MG Cyberster delivers a dynamic road presence with 4533 mm long, 1912 mm wide, and 1328 mm tall. The wheelbase is of 2689 mm supported by a born electric foundation.
MG Cyberster is expected to come in two variants – with RWD setup in the entry level model. It will be in store with a 64 kWh battery pack having a range of 520 km, power output of 308 hp weighing 1850 kg.
In the top spec AWD variant setup there will be dual motors for each axle. Will have a 77kWh battery pack weighing 1985 kg. Performance numbers are 535 hp of max power and 725 nm of peak torque. The CLTC cycle certified range is 580 km. And the most amazing thing is that the MG Cyberster can go from 0 km/h to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. Whereas Tesla Model Y takes 3.5 seconds.
MG Cyberster is expected to make its international debut during mid-2024. Official launch may take some time as the company is looking for a new flagship brand opportunity. Similar to what Toyota has achieved with Lexus. If we talk about the price, the starting range is approximately 53 lakh. It’s also benefiting from the government’s new EV Policy.
